Written by Santa arrived in North Berwick on Saturday to help switch on the Christmas lights. The girls were particularly delighted that he arrived in a fire engine complete with flashing lights and siren.
Not so pleased was the Ned in the body-kitted car behind the fire engine who, with his music thumping, was looking very hacked off at being delayed by all this festivity. He did wind down his window at one point and looked on the verge of delivering a barrage of expletives. He changed his mind though – possibly realising that he would have been lynched by the assorted middle class who had surrounded his car.
Christmas spirit is brilliant.
