It’s that time of year again… Went climbing the other night and found myself being feasted on by swarms (NB: slight axaggeration) of midges. Still itchy from the bites today.
I’m not keen on genetic modification. However, if someone can modify the midge gene so they eat each other instead of me, I will be in full support. Do they actually play any part in nature ? Do they transfer pollen or provide food for some other part of the animal kingdom ? Nope, thought not.
Nuke ’em I say.
Thank you!
